THE SERPENT: A SYMBOL OF OUR LORD'S STEADFAST LOVE
'When the number of people started to increase throughout the fertile land, daughters were born to them. The divine beings saw how beautiful these human women were, so they married the ones they chose. The LORD said, “My breath will not remain in humans forever, because they are flesh. They will live one hundred twenty years.” In those days, giants lived on the earth and also afterward, when divine beings and human daughters had sexual relations and gave birth to children. These were the ancient heroes, famous men. ' - Genesis 6:1-4
Seth was an angel, who eventually became a man... and actually THE FIRST JEW. It was after his birth that the name of the LORD began to be worshipped on Earth. Before that, he was the SERPENT... from PARADISE. It all started in the Garden of Eden.
The SERPENT had been an angel who fell into temptation & was cast out of paradise. The angels had the power to transform into anything that they wanted. Maybe you always thought that this was an odd part of the Bible: a serpent who can behave rationally, talk to you & ask you questions. But you are absolutely right, except you don't know the whole story. THIS IS A METAPHOR, in part. That's what transfiguration is! But not everything is a metaphor...
Satan has the power to tempt even The Lord's Holy Angels!!! Even Jesus Christ was tempted, but without having sinned! The Bible explains to us, using a metaphor that, when Satan fell from the Heavens, he took down a third of the angels with him to act as his servants!
'Then a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant, and she cried out because she was in labor, in pain from giving birth. Then another sign appeared in heaven: it was a great fiery red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and seven royal crowns on his heads. His tail swept down a third of heaven’s stars and threw them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth so that when she gave birth, he might devour her child. She gave birth to a son, a male child who is to rule all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was snatched up to God and his throne. Then the woman fled into the desert, where God has prepared a place for her. There she will be taken care of for one thousand two hundred sixty days. ' - Revelation 12:1-6
The angels used to have that power to become whoever they wanted, but not anymore!!! Ever since Cain killed Abel & there was the birth of Seth, things weren't as they were. He was the sweetest little angel, though. You should read the whole chapter 4 from the book of Genesis. It is very interesting...
'The man Adam knew his wife Eve intimately. She became pregnant and gave birth to Cain, and said, “I have given life to a man with the LORD ’s help.” She gave birth a second time to Cain’s brother Abel. Abel cared for the flocks, and Cain farmed the fertile land. Some time later, Cain presented an offering to the LORD from the land’s crops while Abel presented his flock’s oldest offspring with their fat. The LORD looked favorably on Abel and his sacrifice but didn’t look favorably on Cain and his sacrifice. Cain became very angry and looked resentful. The LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry, and why do you look so resentful? If you do the right thing, won’t you be accepted? But if you don’t do the right thing, sin will be waiting at the door ready to strike! It will entice you, but you must rule over it.” Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let’s go out to the field.” When they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him. The LORD said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?” Cain said, “I don’t know. Am I my brother’s guardian?” The LORD said, “What did you do? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to me from the ground. You are now cursed from the ground that opened its mouth to take your brother’s blood from your hand. When you farm the fertile land, it will no longer grow anything for you, and you will become a roving nomad on the earth.” Cain said to the LORD , “My punishment is more than I can bear. Now that you’ve driven me away from the fertile land and I am hidden from your presence, I’m about to become a roving nomad on the earth, and anyone who finds me will kill me.” The LORD said to him, “It won’t happen; anyone who kills Cain will be paid back seven times.” The LORD put a sign on Cain so that no one who found him would assault him. Cain left the LORD ’s presence, and he settled down in the land of Nod, east of Eden. Cain knew his wife intimately. She became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch. Cain built a city and named the city after his son Enoch. Irad was born to Enoch. Irad fathered Mehujael, Mehujael fathered Methushael, and Methushael fathered Lamech. Lamech took two wives, the first named Adah and the second Zillah. Adah gave birth to Jabal; he was the ancestor of those who live in tents and own livestock. His brother’s name was Jubal; he was the ancestor of those who play stringed and wind instruments. Zillah also gave birth to Tubal-cain, the ancestor of blacksmiths and all artisans of bronze and iron. Tubal-cain’s sister was Naamah. Lamech said to his wives, “Adah and Zillah, listen to my voice; wives of Lamech, pay attention to my words: I killed a man for wounding me, a boy for striking me; so Cain will be paid back seven times and Lamech seventy-seven times.” Adam knew his wife intimately again, and she gave birth to a son. She named him Seth “because God has given me another child in place of Abel, whom Cain killed.” Seth also fathered a son and named him Enosh. At that time, people began to worship in the LORD ’s name.' - Genesis 4:1-26
This was a very impressive metaphor from the Bible. I love how the Bible compares the fall of the angel to the crawling of a serpent. God punished the "serpent", but never rejected it completely. Not like Cain. Now, it "crawls", and that is a metaphor to the angel not being able to fly anymore. It has to walk like a man & "eat dust" all day, but God has remained faithful.
'The snake was the most intelligent of all the wild animals that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say that you shouldn’t eat from any tree in the garden?” The woman said to the snake, “We may eat the fruit of the garden’s trees but not the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden. God said, ‘Don’t eat from it, and don’t touch it, or you will die.’” The snake said to the woman, “You won’t die! God knows that on the day you eat from it, you will see clearly and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” The woman saw that the tree was beautiful with delicious food and that the tree would provide wisdom, so she took some of its fruit and ate it, and also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then they both saw clearly and knew that they were naked. So they sewed fig leaves together and made garments for themselves. During that day’s cool evening breeze, they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden; and the man and his wife hid themselves from the LORD God in the middle of the garden’s trees. The LORD God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?” The man replied, “I heard your sound in the garden; I was afraid because I was naked, and I hid myself.” He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Did you eat from the tree, which I commanded you not to eat?” The man said, “The woman you gave me, she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate.” The LORD God said to the woman, “What have you done?!” And the woman said, “The snake tricked me, and I ate.” The LORD God said to the snake, “Because you did this, you are the one cursed out of all the farm animals, out of all the wild animals. On your belly you will crawl, and dust you will eat every day of your life. I will put contempt between you and the woman, between your offspring and hers. They will strike your head, but you will strike at their heels.” To the woman he said, “I will make your pregnancy very painful; in pain you will bear children. You will desire your husband, but he will rule over you.” To the man he said, “Because you listened to your wife’s voice and you ate from the tree that I commanded, ‘Don’t eat from it,’ cursed is the fertile land because of you; in pain you will eat from it every day of your life. Weeds and thistles will grow for you, even as you eat the field’s plants; by the sweat of your face you will eat bread— until you return to the fertile land, since from it you were taken; you are soil, to the soil you will return.” ' - Genesis 3:1-19
By explaining things in this way, the Bible hides the true identity of THE SERPENT & even compares sex with contempt! Oh, what a pretty picture! Seth is now a "dust eater"! Isn't that brilliant!
And when you think about it... sex is an act of contempt, don't you agree? LOL. It is disgusting! And when the Spirit of God saw what Seth's children were doing, he sneaked out of our lives just as soon as he saw it!!! LOL. Because sex is a struggle, and this was very delicately presented to the "serpent" in Genesis.. as a figure of speech. Because to God, all the angels are women in spirit, but their appearance is as men. So, He created something in His spiritual image, but only a little smaller than the angels...
'The LORD God said to the snake, “Because you did this, you are the one cursed out of all the farm animals, out of all the wild animals. On your belly you will crawl, and dust you will eat every day of your life. I will put contempt between you and the woman, between your offspring and hers. They will strike your head, but you will strike at their heels.” ' - Genesis 3:14-15
'When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, The moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, And hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; Thou hast put all things under his feet: All sheep and oxen, Yea, and the beasts of the field; The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, And whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. O LORD our Lord, How excellent is thy name in all the earth!' - Psalm 8:3-9
'God didn’t put the world that is coming (the world we are talking about) under the angels’ control. Instead, someone declared somewhere, “ What is humanity that you think about them? ” “ Or what are human beings that you care about them? ” “ For a while you made them lower than angels. ” “ You crowned human beings with glory and honor. ” “ You put everything under their control. ” When he puts everything under their control, he doesn’t leave anything out of control. But right now, we don’t see everything under their control yet. However, we do see the one who was made lower in order than the angels for a little while—it’s Jesus! He’s the one who is now crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of his death. He suffered death so that he could taste death for everyone through God’s grace. It was appropriate for God, for whom and through whom everything exists, to use experiences of suffering to make perfect the pioneer of salvation. This salvation belongs to many sons and daughters whom he’s leading to glory. This is because the one who makes people holy and the people who are being made holy all come from one source. That is why Jesus isn’t ashamed to call them brothers and sisters when he says, “ I will publicly announce your name to my brothers and sisters. ” “ I will praise you in the middle of the assembly. ” He also says, “ I will rely on him. ” And also, “ Here I am with the children whom God has given to me. ” Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, he also shared the same things in the same way. He did this to destroy the one who holds the power over death—the devil—by dying. He set free those who were held in slavery their entire lives by their fear of death. Of course, he isn’t trying to help angels, but rather he’s helping Abraham’s descendants. Therefore, he had to be made like his brothers and sisters in every way. This was so that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in things relating to God, in order to wipe away the sins of the people. He’s able to help those who are being tempted, since he himself experienced suffering when he was tempted.' - Hebrews 2:5-18
We can also see in the text below that there is a correlation between the angels & the way women behave:
'I praise you because you remember all my instructions, and you hold on to the traditions exactly as I handed them on to you. Now I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is the man, and the head of Christ is God. Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered shames his head. Every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered disgraces her head. It is the same thing as having her head shaved. If a woman doesn’t cover her head, then she should have her hair cut off. If it is disgraceful for a woman to have short hair or to be shaved, then she should keep her head covered. A man shouldn’t have his head covered, because he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is man’s glory. Man didn’t have his origin from woman, but woman from man; and man wasn’t created for the sake of the woman, but the woman for the sake of the man. Because of this a woman should have authority over her head, because of the angels. However, woman isn’t independent from man, and man isn’t independent from woman in the Lord. As woman came from man so also man comes from woman. But everything comes from God. Judge for yourselves: Is it appropriate for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered? Doesn’t nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him; but if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? This is because her long hair is given to her for a covering. But if someone wants to argue about this, we don’t have such a custom, nor do God’s churches. ' - 1 Corinthians 11:2-16
You see how complex it is to actually understand the Bible? You almost have to read it professionally. Metaphors are not always easy to understand, but they can be amusing. They give us a way to tell many "bedtime stories" & "sweet lullabies". Night, night. Sleep tight.
Did someone say that the man is the head and the woman is the neck?
But of those three characters - Adam, Eve, and the serpent - which was the one who went to Hades? It was Eve, the bravest one. The serpent made a mistake. Adam was deceived. All that was left was Eve & her pact with the Devil. She knew what she was doing. She was completely in control. She changed the course of history, and, as for the rest, you can tell me with your own words. You don't need a metaphor. Women had always been the wisest. Now we pay the price for having to live with men. My advice is: women, give it to your husbands every day, because we're proud women. There's nothing wrong with that. Just don't worry about it. We're doing damage control. Don't try to act so powerful. 😘
'Therefore, I want men to pray everywhere by lifting up hands that are holy, without anger or argument. In the same way, I want women to enhance their appearance with clothing that is modest and sensible, not with elaborate hairstyles, gold, pearls, or expensive clothes. They should make themselves attractive by doing good, which is appropriate for women who claim to honor God. A wife should learn quietly with complete submission. I don’t allow a wife to teach or to control her husband. Instead, she should be a quiet listener. Adam was formed first, and then Eve. Adam wasn’t deceived, but rather his wife became the one who stepped over the line because she was completely deceived. But a wife will be brought safely through childbirth, if they both continue in faith, love, and holiness, together with self-control.' - 1 Timothy 2:8-15
