'So how can they call on someone they don’t have faith in? And how can they have faith in someone they haven’t heard of? And how can they hear without a preacher? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who announce the good news.” - Romans 10:14-15
Controversy always makes us look like we're doing something even if we're not. I actually detest it. People know who you are because you leave a mess everywhere you go. When you make everyone look bad except you.
Bad people love controversy because it makes them look busy, but they never make you get from point A to point B. There's always trouble. Always something wrong with the world. They're always in the middle. They just have to keep feeding you with information & nobody knows why (this information that was not being requested by you or anyone else). That's the kind of people that we need to worry about.
You'll realize, when the time is right, that it was actually all their fault in the first place. Some people love to manipulate information & they make a living out of it. You absolutely must feel triggered all the time!
You will know them by their fruit. Do people get bunches of grapes from thorny weeds, or do they get figs from thistles? In the same way, every good tree produces good fruit, and every rotten tree produces bad fruit. A good tree can’t produce bad fruit. And a rotten tree can’t produce good fruit. Every tree that doesn’t produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. Therefore, you will know them by their fruit. - Matthew 7:16-20
The first person to testify seems innocent, until the other comes and cross-examines him. - Proverbs 18:17
I tell you that people will have to answer on Judgment Day for every useless word they speak. By your words you will be either judged innocent or condemned as guilty.” - Matthew 12:36-37
'“Write this to the angel of the church in Sardis: These are the words of the one who holds God’s seven spirits and the seven stars: I know your works. You have the reputation of being alive, and you are in fact dead. Wake up and strengthen whatever you have left, teetering on the brink of death, for I’ve found that your works are far from complete in the eyes of my God. So remember what you received and heard. Hold on to it and change your hearts and lives. If you don’t wake up, I will come like a thief, and you won’t know what time I will come upon you. But you do have a few people in Sardis who haven’t stained their clothing. They will walk with me clothed in white because they are worthy. Those who emerge victorious will wear white clothing like this. I won’t scratch out their names from the scroll of life, but will declare their names in the presence of my Father and his angels. If you can hear, listen to what the Spirit is saying to the churches. ' - Revelation 3:1-6
I've got a feeling that the letter to the church of Sardis was meant for the church of a most beloved country. Now tell me what it is. I can't say a word!!! I might ruin the surprise!!! I'll meet you in the comment section...
This story has to be continued. We need to complete His work, or we ourselves might get cut, like that tree that brings no good fruit. We have to understand the parables as well...
'In the meantime the disciples spoke to Jesus, saying, “Rabbi, eat.” Jesus said to them, “I have food to eat that you don’t know about.” The disciples asked each other, “Has someone brought him food?” Jesus said to them, “I am fed by doing the will of the one who sent me and by completing his work. Don’t you have a saying, ‘Four more months and then it’s time for harvest’? Look, I tell you: open your eyes and notice that the fields are already ripe for the harvest. Those who harvest are receiving their pay and gathering fruit for eternal life so that those who sow and those who harvest can celebrate together. This is a true saying, that one sows and another harvests. I have sent you to harvest what you didn’t work hard for; others worked hard, and you will share in their hard work.” Many Samaritans in that city believed in Jesus because of the woman’s word when she testified, “He told me everything I’ve ever done.” So when the Samaritans came to Jesus, they asked him to stay with them, and he stayed there two days. Many more believed because of his word, and they said to the woman, “We no longer believe because of what you said, for we have heard for ourselves and know that this one is truly the savior of the world.” ' - John 4:31-42
We're not all pastors (or harvesters). We need the ones that continue to do the hard work (by sowing).
